However, I thought it prudent to also throw a few pointers in the direction of you and your readership. At this time, we don't intend to write anything about specific HYIP's. The simple reason is that, although we have made money with them, every single one has, without fail, ultimately collapsed, taking a good deal of money from their customers.
However, we do have some general pointers. Our best advise with regard to HYIP's is to consider them like stock investments. Do your due dilligence and don't even consider investing until you have verified with at least five or six independent sources their apparent legitimacy. Even then, never put all of your eggs in a single HYIP basket. It doesn't matter how honest an admin seems, they could still have problems that cause them to shut down, taking your money with them. Also, it is a good rule of thumb that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Forex Investing, for instance can sensibly bring in 5-10% daily after fees. Any serious investor is going to want to make at least 2-3% since they are doing all of the work for you. It is thus unreasonable to expect much more than a 1-2% per day payout. A couple of notable exceptions are 12by12Daily and XLO Surf (links for which can be found on our main site). Both of these programs offer an apparently unsustainable percentage. However, if you figure out the lag time in payments, they are, in reality only paying around 2% per day. Auto Surf Trust is another great investment vehicle which spreads your investment around multiple HYIP's and private investments, dividing the profits at the end of each month.
The final cardinal rule is, like any form of gambling (and, have no doubt, IT IS GAMBLING!!!), don't invest in HYIPs unless you can afford to lose the money. Thus, if you must invest in HYIP's, spread your investment after doing your due dilligence, be skeptical and don't spend your rent money or other funds that you can't afford to lose.
